MaxFactory BFC-MAX12 Bio Booster Armor Guyver - Zoalord Imakarum Mirabilis

After two and a half years of silence, the 'Bio Booster Armor Guyver' BFC-MAX series is back, and to welcome back the series is the Zoalord equipped with the ability to control gravity and space, Imakarum Mirabilis! Zoalords are the leaders of Kronos. They all have 'Zoacrystals', crystalline structures implanted in their forehead, giving them psychic abilities and greatly enhanced bio-energy. They can tap into these powers to fly and generate energy blasts even without the need to transform into Zoalord battle-form. In one way or another, all can psionically manipulate both gravity and radiant energy, each Zoalord has their own unique powers.

This figure looks incredible, from the intricate designs of the bare white to the gold armor add-on parts, all look detailed and well sculpted. Simply fantastic. Being able to equip and remove the armor whenever you see fit - and even change the head part into its human form are big plus and add lots of play value to this action figure.
Of course you PAY for all the cool design and neat accessories, at 11,800Yen (~SGD$182) its not easy on the wallet.That being said, it is more value for money then Karas from the SOG line as you get more play value with this figure...

MaxFactory Figma The MOVIE 1st ver - Fate Testarossa

Maxfactory will be releasing Fate Testarossa Jan 2010 which conicides with the movie , Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha The MOVIE 1st

This version of fate comes with a removable cloak which has 2 figma joints allowing some posability. 2 faces are included, smiling and shouting. More interesting is Fate's device ,Bardiche. Bardiche comes with replaceable parts which allows it to "transform" into its various forms namely Axe Form', 'Scythe Form' and 'Grave Form'.

Honestly, I am not a big fan of Fate or even Nanoha when they are young so this figma doesn't appeal to me. The sculpt is ok I guess, closely following the new design from the movie.

Since I already have the Barrier Jacket version of Fate, I think i will pass on this just like I passed on young Nanoha.

Nendoroid Nanoha Takamachi: The MOVIE 1st Ver.

FINALLY... an official Nendoroid of Nanoha has been announced by GSC :) ♪
Nanoha Takamachi, the main character from the long-awaited theatrical debut of the Nanoha series 'Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha The MOVIE 1st', is joining the Nendoroid world, with her newly designed barrier jacket shunk down to Nendoroid size with her

Nanoha comes with 3 faces (normal, serious & relaxed). Best of all, her device, Raging Heart included in both 'Device Mode' and 'Canon Mode'. The icing on the cake would be a nendorised
Yuuno in his ferret form which adds another 10 points to the already cute ferret.

I've got nothing to bad to say about this Nendo. Its come with the accessories expected, sculpt is excellent and looks absolutely fantastic.

Of course I am a Nanoha fan so my opinion maybe bias, see the pics here and decide for yourself..

Now to wait for the rest of the cast... FATE is up next I believe :)

Nendoroid Ritsu Tainaka

Whew... lots of catching up to do after coming back from my reservist. Apologies for the delay but I was out in the forest and there were no computers in the wild :P

Start off with Ritsu from the hit anime, K-ON. Ritsu Tainaka is the club's head (although Mio enforces the "rules) and drummer of the band. She comes with 3 expressions (smiling face, shocked face, "beaten up by Mio" face). Replacement hair parts to let her hair down are also included.

Although a tad more expensive then normal nendos (4000Yen), Ritsu makes up for this with a nendoroid-size full drum set. Though personally I've seen much better miniture drum sets, this will have to do.

The figure itself is the standard ritsu in her uniform. Nothing much to shout about.. UNLESS you are a K-On fan then you would want this to complete the whole cast. Yui is expected to be released in December and you know Azuyan is going to come sooner or later :) Nyannn

GSC Yuzuko Peppermint - Yuzuko Hayakawa 1/8 PVC Figure

Scheduled for release March 2010 is this PVC figure of Hayakawa Yuzuko ( 早川柚子 ) from the 'Yuzuko Peppermint' which is a manga currently serialized in YOUNG GANGAN magazine, authored by Dai Satou and drawn by Maseru Gotsubo.

The figure will be sold together with

• An original drama CD story written by Dai Satou
• Booklet including illustrations by Maseru Gotsubo

Yuzuko is the wielder of the special ability 'Peppermint', which turns her hair green and boosts her abilities when shes pissed off. GSC has included a replaceable head allowing you to pose her using her 'Peppermint' ability. Her weapon, Shiranuhi , which is basically a huge iron ball acts as a base for the figure.

I find the figure quite nice, espicially when you swop in the "flame-like" hair. It gives that "powered-up" look ala DragonballZ Super Saiyan. The color scheme is the standard Jap schoolgirl colors although the shading of the skirt looks particularly nice.

Pity that the weapon/base is only 1/2 a ball instead of a whole. I would have preferred them to omit the extras (CS, booklet etc) and gave me 1/2 a ball more :)

At almost SGD$150 bucks, have a look at the pictures to decide if its worth it.

Nendoroid Jiei-tan

Jiei-tan from Magical Marine Pixel Mari-tan will be Nendorised and released by Good Smile Company. There will be 2 releases

1. Regular release (Land Ver.)
2. Limited Hobby-Channel exclusive (Marine Ver.), which will only be available through Hobby Japan Online Shop.

Both versions are scheduled to be released March 2010 with the limited release prices 1000Yen higher than the normal version.

I like both versions but of course prefer the exlusive one. The Marine Ver comes with a cute panda and a cart to lug the bugger around in... Since it is going to be a Japan exclusive, I will have to hunt around to get this. but I think with the amount of accessories and the color scheme and costume of the Marine Ver will make this a worthwhile piece to get.

Nendoroid Luka Megurine

The third release from the 'Character Vocal Series', Luka Megurine ♪ is scheduled to be released January 2010.

Included are replaceable parts to recreate the pose from her image song 'Double Lariat' as well as an additional expression of Luka singing with closed eyes. Also included is a Nendoroid Petite of the well-known 'Luka-Octapus'.

I have been waiting for the release of this nendo since it was first previewed some time ago. I love the colors of her costume and also the design of her outfit. The Luka Octapus is also ultra cute and looks adorable perched on Luka's head. The "singing" face is also very nice and I must say I think its the best looking nendo in the Vocaloid series so far[yes.. even nicer then Miku :)]

A MUST GET for me.
