GSC White Album - Rina Ogata 1/8 PVC Figure

Following the Yuki Morikawa figure from the popular game and anime series 'White Album', comes a PVC figure of Rina Ogata.

As I mentioned in my post on Yuki, I prefer the colors on this Rina Ogata better. The blue, white & gold outfit looks really good. Shading on her skirt is nice with the nice two tone effect going on.

Overall a nicer figure then Yuki in my opinion, though displaying them together would have a nice effect especially is there can be a stage diorama backdrop (perhaps one using a few di:stages)

Alter Saber (Maid ver) 1/6 PVC Figure (Hobby Channel exclusive)

Alter in collaboration with Hobby Japan is going to release Saber Maid Version in April 2010. This Saber is from the game Fate~ Hollow Ataraxia which is based half a year after the events of Fate/stay night.

I really like the sculpt of this figure, and thats saying alot since I normally don't go for characters dressed in funny costumes. The detailing is simply fantastic with the frilly French maid outfit done almost to perfection. The chibi saber is also really cute and very charming.

Sadly this is going to be a Hobby Channel exclusive and you can only order her from Hobby Channel online shop. Since they don't ship overseas, you would again have to trouble your jap friend to get it for you. For those who don't have such a friend [like me :( ]expect to pay a premium through proxies or resellers market to get one.

Bandai Soul of Chogokin GX-51 Getter Dragon

Scheduled for a November 2009 release, Getter Dragon will be joining the ranks of the Soul of Chogokin line from Bandai. Recommended retail price at 7875Yen (~SGD$124). Getter Dragon is from Getter Robo G, a super robot anime series created by Go Nagai and Ken Ishikawa and produced by Toei Animation.

I am not a fan of the Getter Dragon mecha design though, something about the head just turns me off. Not too hot about the red/white color scheme either..maybe if they did a "black" variant.

However, pics of the gokin from Bandai does indeed put it in a good light with gokin looking solid and imposing. Size is good (see comparison pic with SOC Big-O below)

I'm still undecided whether add it to my collection.

Basically these are Rides for your Toys :) Crafted to fit the Figma range from MaxFactory, Freeing introduces these talian-style vintage bikes (vespars) in the new 'ex:ride' series.
There are a total of five colors to choose from - pearl white, metallic red, metallic green, metallic yellow and metallic blue.

These looks like lots of fun and would give good posing opportunities with your Figmas or Nendos. Lets hope they make one of a black lambo :)

Nendoroid Alphard & Nendoroid Ein

2 new Nendoroids announced by GSC, and both happen to be gun-toting ass-kicking chicks from action animes. From Canaan, we have the main antagonist Alphard who is the main baddie. And from Phantom ~Requiem for the Phantom, we have Ein who is of course the protagonist of the anime.

Both are scheduled to be released Jan 2010 at 3500Yen (~SGD$54) each. So lets have a look at each of them.

Nendoroid Alphard

Alphard comes with 3 face parts, calm face, cunning grinface and pissed off face. Of course the leader of the terrorist organization comes armed with a gun(FN Five-seveN USG?) as an accessory.

I think I've mentioned this before, but a nendoroid figure wearing a tube top always strikes me as "wrong". Somehow the skimpiness of the tube and the cuteness of a nendo just clashes.

I am just pick this up anyway for the sake of posing her with Canaan though. Nendos blasting away at each other with tiny guns are just too cute :)

Nendoroid Ein

Ein comes with 2 faces (expressionless, smiling) , her teddy bear, knife and mask.
Although the nendo does look a little bland, the mask is really a cool accessory to recreate her as Phantom.

I am waiting for the whole anime to be finish airing before i start watching. I hate having to wait for new episodes.....

Anyways, I think I would get this to avoid the "Must Get toy After watching anime" syndrome :)
