Alter Odin Sphere - Mercedes 1/8 PVC Figure

Odin Sphere is a 2D fantasy action RPG video game. Developed by Vanillaware and localized and published by Atlus for the PlayStation 2 in 2007, it tells the interlocking stories of five different protagonists. Alter is going to release the protagonist of the 3rd story, Princess Mercedes as a 1/8 PVC Figure.

Mercedes is sculpted as holding her crossbow(Psypher), against what seems like a "pond" backdrop. At first look , the figure does seem abit messy with alot going on. However, closer inspection reveals very fine detailing on the figure. The detailing on this figure is amazing from the nice translucent veined wings, leaves in the backdrop down to the flowers on her head. The colors does convey the fairy like quality of the figure and there is some nice shading on the backdrop. The only thing is that the base looks like an inverted pudding, i would have preferred if they made that slab of 'water" bigger...(and I would have omitted the frog.. i dun like frogs :p )

Overall a very fine figure for folks who like the fantasy stuff. have a look at the pics and see for yourself.
