Freeing Kodomo no Jikan - Mimi Usa Gym Uniform ver. 1/4 PVC Figure

Freeing brings us another huge 1/4 PVC figure, this time of Mimi USA from the Kodomo no Jikan series.

As per the series, Mimi is very well endowed for a third grader and the pose accents that. Detailing looks nice and I especially like the hair. Clothes are made from real cloth as is common with this particular line. her facial expression is well done portraying utmost innocence. Although
Don't ask me why her hand and fingers are positioned that way and what she plans to do with them :-P (maybe she has a wedgie...)

Anyways, if you like young girls with large assets in lewd positions this would be for you. lolz
That being said, you ignore the background of the character (being very young) and purely look at it from a PVC figure POV, it is actually quite nice.

I admire the sculpt but I'll be skipping this as 1/4 scale is just too space guzzling for me.

Anyways , here some pics for your viewing pleasure.

First Look: Maxfactory FullMetal Demon Muramasa

Here are some pre-view pics of the upcoming Demon Muramasa from MaxFactory. Muramasa is from an upcoming PC game title from nitro+
For the first time, I would have to say a MaxFactory gokin is UGLY. Not just ordinary ugly.. but BUTT ugly.

Omg, this looks like a mess of fat red...STUFF. WHY did MaxFactory choose to make this when there are so many other better mecha designs out there.

When my wife saw this when I was putting up this post, she asked.. "Is that a Lobster? looks like a lobster!".. nuff said

Here are some pics of the prototype for you to shake your head over... Maybe it'll look better as they develop the gokin more..One can only hope.

Nendoroid Shiki Ryougi

From the popular movie series which recently came to a conclusion "Kara no Kyoukai", comes a Nendoroid of the main character, Shiki Ryougi, wearing her characteristic red leather jacket over her Japanese-style clothes.

Being super deformed makes Shiki look like a guy doesn't it?.. Thats what I thought too when I first saw previews of this nendo. Funnily although it has deep colors and even a small "knife", things that I usually like , I am not particularly attracted to this nendo. Maybe i just find her piercing eyes scary lolz. May get this though.. we'll see

Alter K-On - Akiyama Mio 1/8 PVC Figure

Since my last post on the Mio Nendoroid, I have finished watching the K-On anime :)
I must admit, I found the anime quite nice. its refreshing to watch an anime with a lack of any sort of fan service once in a while.. :)

This particular PVC figure of Mio from Alter would definitely make K-On fans happy. Mio is in a nice twirly-whirly pose and has a matching facial expression to boot. The hair is sculpted to give the figure a fuller feel and her skirt has just the right amount of 'lift" to entice.. :P There is also some nice detailing on Mio's guitar (check out the knobs) and colors are also up to Alter's usual good standard. From the pics it seems like Mio would be posed with upcoming figure of Ritsu and that would make a nice display. I am sure Yui and Tsumugi (maybe Azusa) would come sooner or later to complete the set.

All in all a good PVC figure for K-On fans or even a casual collector.
Me?? I watched the anime and liked it, but not enough for me to get a PVC figure of the characters :P

Nendoroid Churuya-san

Although it is mentioned that Nyoron Churuya-san comes from a series that preceded the second season of 'The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi', I had no idea what that refers to. I did some research and apparently this comes from a four-panel parody manga, Nyoro~n Churuya-san by Eretto (Utsura Uraraka). Nyoron Churuya-san is actually a smoked cheese-loving, super deformed version of Tsuruya.

Anyone.. not very important :P
On to the Nendo!

This figure comes with a table, knife, fork and some smoked cheese. Together with the included drooling face apparently you can recreate the signature 'Nyoro~n' pose....

The sculpt of this particular nendo is different from the standard style I would say, this probably because it was based on an already super deformed character.

Personally, I think I would give this nendoroid a miss. The Cartoony face of this nendo puts me off somehow and I feel its actually Less cute then the conventional nendoroid styling...

But thats just me.. see the pics for yourself and decide :)

Gift Rental Magica - Adelicia Lenn Mathers 1/8 PVC Figure

Rental Magica is a Japanese light novel series by Makoto Sanda. An An anime adaption was made in 2007 series adaptation animated by Zexcs , airing a total of twenty-four episodes.

In the series, Adelicia Lenn Mathers is leader of the Magician's Society Goetia and descendant of King Solomon.

I confess I have not watched the anime, although after reading the description it seems like an interesting anime. This particular PVC figure comes from Gift and I must say it looks really good. The deep purple dress is simply fantastic with very nice shading and a really rich purple. The contrasts with Adelicia's blond hair really makes this figure stand out. The detailing on the figure is also very good. This can be seen from small details such as the strands in her curly blond hair and even the strained tendon behind her knee (see 5th pic below). The minor letdown for me is the facial expression of this figure. For such a dynamic pose, the facial expression does seem bland and "flat".

Overall, I do give this figure the thumbs up and perhaps thats because I really love the color.

Well..decide for yourself while I go hunt down the anime to watch :)
